Carpet Protector

We use an EPA Dfe Approved Carpet Protectant. We have protectants for upholstery as well. Protectors are very important in extending the life of your carpet or upholstery. They protect against acid-based stains, the type of stains that can permanently stain your nylon carpet, such as:

  • Colored fruit drinks
  • Soft drinks
  • Frozen fruit treats
  • Other colored foods

It revitalizes soil/stain protection on stain-resistant carpeting; it protects against dirt, dust, grime; it makes your vacuuming more efficient.

The protectors “seal” your carpeting or upholstery so the spills don’t soak into the fibers, allowing them to be easily blotted up. Dirt particles don’t cling, so vacuuming is easier and more efficient. This reduces the likelihood of a permanent stain. These protectants will protect against almost anything you can track in or eat. All of our protectants are safe for pets and children. We will provide you with a Certificate of Application you can keep for your documentation to show that you are complying with the provisions of the manufacturer’s warranty.

Dealing with messy spills and stains on your carpet can be a pain. That’s why it’s highly recommended to make sure your carpet is well-protected from things such as juice spills or red wine stains.

What Does Carpet Protector Do?

Carpet protectors such as 3M Scotchgard Protector, help prevent stains or soils from immediately setting into the fibers of your carpet. If a spill or mess does occur, it allows you to be able to wipe it up more easily without it staining the carpet right away. Carpet protector not only helps avoid liquid stains, but also protects against soil or dirt from making its way deep into the carpet fibers. If you’ve just had your carpets professionally cleaned, the LAST thing you want is for them to get ruined with dirt or stains. That’s why having protector treatment applied will increase both, the longevity and appearance of your carpet and upholstered furniture.

When you purchase new carpet, it typically comes with some form of carpet protector already applied to it. However, as your carpets get used over time and foot traffic increases in areas of your home, the protector will eventually wear out and no longer protect your carpet from those nasty spills or stains. In high-traffic homes, Scotchgard recommends having carpet protector re-applied AT LEAST every 6 months or after every professional carpet cleaning.

We offer deodorizer as an option for our customers. We also offer enzyme-based deodorizers to digest the bacteria that cause the odors. Call or email us for a more detailed list and the effectiveness for each type of deodorizer. (Please note that removing the source of the odor is the number one step to successful odor removal.)

Let us help protect your new carpet from pet stains, worn-looking traffic areas, soils and spills.
